DAVID BOWIE

LAURENCE KNIGHT

With performances at the official 'David Bowie Is" Exhibition at The V&A London, The Royal Albert Hall and alongside The Cure, Boney M, Roy Wood and the Boomtown Rats, Laurence has taken his David Bowie tribute act and performance around World. With TV appearances on Sky and BBC, accept no imitations, Laurence is a vocalist, actor and multi-instrumentalist who has performed all over globe during the past eighteen years of touring.

LIDIA CASCARINO CLOSE

Lidia has played alongside Status Quo and David Essex on their UK tours, and as bassist for Cambridge based duo Ezio for 15 years she toured throughout Europe and the UK. Other artists she has supported include Robbie Williams, Nigel Kennedy, Van Morrison, Paul Weller, Toto, Muse, Robert Plant, The Dave Matthews Band, The Temptations, Eddie Reader and Toyah Wilcox. Lidia has also worked with some of the finest session musicians including Peter Van Hook (Van Morrison and Mike and the Mechanics), Elliot Randall (Steely Dan) the late Gypie Mayo (The Yardbirds and Dr Feelgood) and Billyboy Miskimmin (Nine Below Zero and The Yardbirds).

GUITARS

TIM WEDLAKE

Tim has been a professional guitarist for over twenty five years. Busy working with bands, touring shows and artists such as Howie Casey, Roy Young, Terry Nash as Meatloaf, Katy Setterfield (The Dusty Springfield Show), One Night in Vegas, Beatles With Wings, Bye Bye Baby and many others. He also currently works as a session musician and enjoys teaching the guitar from his home in Dorset where he lives with his wife and family.

KEYBOARDS

STUART DARLING

Stuart began his career training as a classical pianist from age 11, and since then has branched out into both classic and contemporary rock and pop as well as musical theatre. His hero from a relatively young age was Prog Rock God Rick Wakeman of Yes (and David Bowie) fame. Stuart figured out many of Rick's '6 Wives of Henry VIII' by ear shortly before joining the Bowie Experience band aged just 16. He is Musical Director for several amateur musical societies.

PERCUSSION

PAUL GILL

Paul has been a professional drummer for over 30 years, touring and recording with a number of major artists. He became a global endorsee for the Tama Drum Company whilst playing drums for Alvin Stardust. Paul has played for The Queen and Prince Phillip and performed in the 1985 ‘Live Aid’ show at the Royal Albert Hall. Paul has worked with many major tribute acts including Elvis, Meatloaf and the Blues Brothers. Paul also teaches drums at Lord Wandsworth College in Hampshire.

CHARLOTTE-ELIZABETH TALBOT

Charlotte-Elizabeth has been singing professionally since the age of 16, touring the country with Terry Nash and his variety of tribute shows as well as taking to the stage in regional, national and West End theatres. She is currently recording vocals with a selection of top producers across the dance music world as well as leading the 5 piece band 'Suburban Jukebox'. Charlotte-Elizabeth has previously performed in the Royal Albert Hall & Royal Festival Halls as a soloist, has appeared on TV and feature films.

EMILY WESTWOOD

Emily started playing instruments aged 4 and is now a multi-instrumentalist accomplished on saxophone, drums, flute and voice. She graduated with an honours degree in music majoring in performance on saxophone. She has taught all of her instruments and currently teaches music in a prep school. Emily has performed and recorded in a range of musical ensembles around the country including performing with Richard Stilgoe.

DARREN JONES

Darren is a professional guitarist and music graduate of Platform One Music College. Darren has been performing in bands since the age of 17. He has appeared in a wide variety of musical projects of all genres, a highlight of his career was performing and touring in Amsterdam during the Queens Day celebrations.

JAMES STEAD

A professional pianist and musical director since the age of 15, James is also a highly accomplished arranger, composer, singer, guitarist and drummer. Credits include: Dermot O’Leary Show (BBC Radio 2), GMTV (ITV), “Debra Stephenson’s Night Of 100 Voices” UK Tour (ITV), “Godspell” (UK no. 1 Tour), “Chris & Pui Roadshow” (BBC), BBC Radio Solent, Pantomimes for UK Productions and Wish Theatre, Resident musician at Hotel Grand President (Sorrento, Italy), San Carlo (London), Cagney's Jazz Club (Bournemouth), Captain’s Club Hotel (Christchurch). James is the Musical Director of Swing Unlimited Big Band and Bournemouth Musical Theatre Productions, as well as a regular performer across the country, both as a solo act and with various bands.

COSTUMIER

AMY KNIGHT

Amy is a costume and dressmaker, who has worked on a wide range of projects from historical reproductions to bridal wear and stage costumes. From ‘We Will Rock You’ at the Dominion Theatre in the West End to ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ at Southampton Mayflower. Amy has also made costumes for opera, film and television productions. Amy is the exclusive costume designer and maker for the Bowie Experience and continues to enjoy recreating the many different styles of David Bowie.
